Wetherald Behavioral Academy helps students with disabilities achieve academic and behavioral improvements and life skills mastery, so that they become life-long learners who lead enhanced, productive lives and serve as positive examples of what individuals with learning differences can achieve. Wetherald Behavioral Academy is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Albany, Georgia.
At Wetherald Behavioral Academy, we aim to have contributions equaling $3,000,000.00 over the next 5 years to aid in launching our school. Wetherald Behavioral Academy is proud to share that we’ve earned our 2025 Gold Seal of Transparency from Candid, a leading nonprofit research and data center formed in 2019 when GuideStar and the Foundation Center merged.
To earn the Gold Seal, Wetherald Behavioral Academy provided qualitative information about our vision, leadership, and financial health.
The Seal represents our commitment to transparency and being a good steward of the funds that our donors invest in our mission.
Who We Serve
At Wetherald Behavioral Academy, we serve children and young adults ages 5 to 22 with autism, developmental disabilities, and a range of learning and behavioral challenges. Our students come to us with diverse needs—including emotional disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and pervasive developmental delays—and we meet them where they are. We proudly serve families across Southwestern Georgia, including Albany, Americus, and Lee.
