SB10/HB70 Funds Application

As of 09/03/2024, WBA has been approved to participate in the Georgia Special Needs Scholarship (GSNS) Program. If your child is currently enrolled in public school in grades K-12 with an IEP they will be eligible to access SB10 funds. If your child doesn’t attend a public school or has never been to a public school, they may still be eligible for GSNS funds through the HB70 waiver.

For comprehensive details on the GSNS, visit the page directly: Georgia Special Needs Scholarship

Please note: If you do not apply for GSNS, you will not be eligible for grant and financial aid through Wetherald Behavioral Academy.

Our Admissions Process

Step 1: Submit an Inquiry

An Inquiry will be your first step towards getting your child into WBA.

Step 2: Schedule an Evaluation

Once our Special Education Director, Amy Peel, has received your inquiry form, she will reach out to you to schedule your child’s evaluation. This in-person evaluation helps us understand your child’s unique needs and how we can tailor our program to support their learning and development effectively.

Step 3: Application for Admissions and Completing an Enrollment Packet

You will be requested to complete an Application for Admissions at the conclusion of your child’s evaluation if it is determined WBA is a good fit for your family’s education goals.

  • Visit our Online Admissions Platform
  • Instructions will be presented to create an application account and begin a new application for admissions.
  • There is a nonrefundable application fee due upon submission.

You will be requested to complete an Enrollment Packet after your Application for Admissions is accepted.
When your Application for Admissions is accepted, instructions for creating a FACTS Family Portal account and instructions for completing our Enrollment packet will be sent to you via email. Detailed instructions for creating a FACTS Family Portal account can be found at the bottom of this page.

  • Enrollment packets for new and returning students are available starting February 1st through March 31st. There is a nonrefundable enrollment fee due upon submission.
  • Any Enrollment packet submitted on or after April 1st is considered late. There is a nonrefundable enrollment fee as well as a late fee due upon submission.

Step 4 (Optional): Apply for Grant and Financial Aid

If you are applying for Grant & Financial Aid, you may only do so after your child’s Application for Admissions has been accepted.

  • Visit our Grant & Financial Aid Needs Assessment and complete an application.
  • The Grant & Financial Aid platform will require a new account to be created. This account is separate from your FACTS Family Portal account.

Please note: If you already have an active FACTS account for Grant & Financial Aid with a different school, you will need to add your child to your existing account. You can contact the Grant & Financial Aid help desk (866 -315-9262) for assistance adding your child to your account so that you can apply for aid to Wetherald Behavioral Academy.

*** FACTS Grant & Financial Aid Applications and supporting financial documents are submitted to, processed by, and evaluated by our financial partners at FACTS. Awards and tuition assistance are not guaranteed for any applicant. Awards are based on calculated need and the availability of Academy funds at the end of our application window. These applications can take 2-4 weeks to process before any aid determination is designated. Please ensure to provide accurate information that can be supported by the required documentation at the time of submission. Discrepancies between provided entries and supporting documentation can delay the processing of your application.***
